A. SCOTT TILLERY

Scott Tillery is a graduate of Boston College Law School (1976) and has 45 years’ experience in general civil practice with extensive handling of personal injury claims, successions, real estate, divorce and property matters. He has prosecuted and defended lawsuits in state and federal courts including many disputes involving complex succession, property or land issues.

 

He has handled and tried hundreds of personal injury cases including motor vehicle accidents and premises liability claims as well as insurance property damage disputes. His experience in estate planning and administration of successions can help clients make the right decisions in light of their goals and current law.

MATT J. TILLERY

Matt Tillery is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law (2020) where he received a Certificate in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship. Matt was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Jesuit High School where he was a National Merit Finalist.  His practice includes successions, estate planning, contracts, personal injury and family law.

ALLEN J. TILLERY (1926-2017, In memoriam)

Allen J. Tillery was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1943 he enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps for service in WW II and served as a Japanese interpreter for the 22nd Marine Regiment in the Pacific war. He participated in amphibious landings and combat in the Marshall and Mariana Islands and wrote a fine book about his war experiences called "Well and Smartly Done."

 

After the war he completed LSU Law School and moved with his new bride Betty to her hometown to start his law practice in St. Bernard Parish. He practiced law for 54 years and was renowned as a jury trial orator and real estate lawyer.

 

An accomplished and popular public speaker, he served as President of the St. Bernard Parish School Board for many years, President of the Louisiana School Boards Association, Vice-Chairman of the St. Bernard Parish Home Rule Charter Committee and Chairman of the Board of St. Bernard Bank. He was a proud U.S. Marine and a gentleman to all who knew him.
